Smeigedag Sauna is a sauna company dedicated to promoting year-round cold-water swimming and spreading the joy of sauna culture in Southern Norway. Our vision is to make outdoor recreation easily accessible and to create meaningful, high-quality experiences. Our goal is to offer nature-based activities that improve public health — both mentally and physically.

The sauna is a modern meeting place where people of all ages can gather, unwind, and experience both mastery and togetherness. We see that heat and cold foster presence, and that the combination of sauna and swimming provides documented health benefits: improved mental health, reduced stress, and increased quality of life.

Smeigedag Sauna has established locations at Kristiansand Feriesenter, Birkeland, Vennesla, and Mandal, with Bystranda and Lillesand set to open in December.

Through collaboration with municipalities, the tourism sector, and local partners, we aim to create vibrant meeting places where nature, wellness, and public health give guests “smeigedager” all year round.
